“This first book of the series is a guidebook of memories and feelings, and as such, it is very subjective. Napoli has become my second home and she has given me a lot. With this book, I wanted to give something back to her and to give you, dear reader, a sense of what it is like to be here. To peel away the classic stereotypes and clichés and tell an intimate story. A story of the longest-standing traditions and the most exciting innovations that go hand in hand. The extremes, the noises, the tastes and the smells - how this pulsating fabric provides so much more than what you usually see or read about.” - Kata
Don't imagine a classic travel guide with the 'top lists' and itineraries on where to go and what to eat. SEMPRE NAPOLI gives you a unique glimpse of the city through the eye of a writer who is not a tourist and not yet a local. Reading her anecdotes from the last 8 years can easily fly you to Napoli in a second and show you its fun and chaotic personality which makes this city truly lovable.
The book features a wast selection of Botond Wertán's photos of Napoli, made exclusively for the book during two trips to the city in 2024 These images helped us telling the stories and also help you to see Kata's words right before your eyes.

ABOUT THE BOOK

We’ve traveled to Napoli twice with Botond Wertán for photo trips to create the visuals for the book. Most of the photos in it are analogue, giving it a warm, old-school feel — reminiscent of the vintage travel guidebooks from the 1970s and 1980s.

The illustrations that accompany each section of the book were created by Levente Csordás. Levi designed a distinctive visual style that perfectly complements the analogue photographs — playful yet detailed. His drawings capture everyday scenes, characters, and iconic places of Napoli, evoking the city’s charm and rhythm.

While creating this book, we revisited all our favourite places — not only those known for their history or breathtaking views, but the ones that simply make us feel good. Those hidden lookouts, cozy bars, tiny cafés, family-run restaurants, and old salumerias where we truly feel at home — the places that capture the real spirit of Napoli.
